Liar, liar, pants on fire!

Wow-where do I begin! The news media are shouting such conflicting information; famous individuals continue to blatantly lie from "I did not have sex with that woman", to "I was beaten up by two white guys wearing MAGA hats"; Russia is threatening to bomb us if we station offensive weapons close by; the Pope is having meetings with the church's leadership about priests sexual sins and many of our young people are open to Socialism instead of Capitalism and the free market.

What planet did I wake up on (excuse the lazy grammar)? It's at times like these that I am ever grateful to have a direct line to Jesus Christ. Some may scoff at that, but our problem today is that we are bereft of the truth, in all of our settings. (Bereft-if you dropped out of school, or went to a public one...look it up. JK, JK!!)

Today, I'm shaking my head in disbelief as I hear some use the term, "my truth" Whaaat? It's either true or it's not true...not, "my truth". Example: a whole bunch of people believe with all their hearts that there is a God; a whole bunch of people believe with all their hearts that there isn't a God; and a whole bunch of people believe with all their hearts that there are many gods. Stop and think now, yes, I said think...they all can't be true. If there's only one God, the others are not true, or many gods etc. So if your truth is not true, wouldn't you want to know it? Heck, a whole bunch of really smart people believed with all their hearts that the world was flat--but it didn't make it true.

So your quest then is not for a "my truth" moment, but rather your quest should be for the truth. Whether political, educational, emotional, scientific or spiritual, etc...the quest is really for the truth. Let me give you a hint on the spiritual front, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no one gets to God except through Him. John 14:6 gives you the scoop. But, heh, don't trust me, trust Him. He's the only one who can say, "My truth", and when He says, "My truth", you can bet on that.

Told you this was a tough workout! Suck it up Buttercup...and get goin'!
