A World Gone Mad

Yikes-it's been a long time since I've posted. Lots going on in life. Both hips replaced at the local VA Hospital. Had outstanding care and results. Back in the fight, so to speak.

Our world is a bit in turmoil, ya' think! Some are wondering how we got here, from the coronavirus pandemic to the riots and looting in our streets. I don't wonder at all. We have kicked God and all His holy principles out of the center of our families, community, state and nation. We are told that we are to keep our spiritual lives to ourselves. Now stop and think on that for a minute. As a Pagan, or Wiccan, you can voice your beliefs, but anything to do with God...you have to keep that "private". I, for one, don't want Christian principles to be "private". I want integrity, sexual purity, sobriety, service before self and excellence in all we do to be shouted from the roof tops; to be taught in every family and schoolroom.

But there is a bit of a problem here. Just listing and trying to follow Christian, or any other good or kind philosophy won't work. Many will brush aside what I am going to say, but I'm going to say it anyways, Buttercup! You can't think, want and feel to the level that God requires because you were born with a broken nature. Not from God, but from Adam's disobedience to God. Adam became separate from that perfect nature of God. I call us "Adam's crack babies". Adam was the one who took the bait of Satan and disobeyed God and we then ended up born with the spiritual disability.

Because we did not choose what broke our lives, God has great mercy on us. He knows we can't meet the measure with the nature with which we were born. So He sent Jesus, to take the capital punishment for our crimes against Him. In doing that, you now do have a choice. A choice to take just one moment in time; to humble yourself before the mighty God and admit, for once, that you are not God. Ask for forgiveness of your sins and ask that God's nature come into you and abide there. Now you have a fighting chance. But just like Paul says in the Scripture in Romans 7, that he struggled with the two natures. What he didn't want to do...he did. And what he wanted to do, sometimes he didn't! He cried out, "Who shall save me from the body of this death?" Romans 8:1 tells us, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

Whew...that's a relief. God wants you, loves you, understands your challenges but you must invite Him in. God will never bust down the door of your heart. That would be spiritual assault! Invite Him in, but then live by His principles using HIS nature to do it in you, to you and through you. 

You want to see lives changed? You want to see the racial divide mended, or truth to return to the news cycle, or communities strengthened etc. Then you have to change your life first; set the example by what you do not by what comes flying out your pie hole!! Tough...of course. So suck it up, Buttercup and get going. Change the world and all around you, by changing YOU.

I believe in tolerance...except with YOU!

Are people drinking crazy juice or something? Twitter, Facebook...you name it. All sorts of comments and stuff that make ZERO sense! Knock it off...get back to your work out!   People go busting windows, knocking people down, cutting them, beating them up and kicking them, all the while calling the poor slob on the ground who's head is being beaten in a "fascist". Is this a bad nightmare? What the heck!!   Really? Screaming for free speech for themselves but totally blocking others. That ain't gonna work. Nothing but bad times ahead if that doesn't stop.   So, whutchu lookin' at...just standing there. Where's your prayer life for wisdom as to what to say or do? Where's your random acts of kindness, your volunteering in a local school or at a local hospital. Just think...if people were so busy helping others (or working), they wouldn't have time to be out splitting open the heads of those with which they disagree.   And you snowflak

Shoot Those Squirrels!

  SQUIRREL!! Do you spend dedicated time alone with God, or are you “chasing squirrels”? It happens to all of us. You just get settled in a quiet place, you’re talking with the Lord, or just listening and the phone rings, or you think of the call you said you’d return, or the laundry that needs to go in the dryer…on and on.   If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that if you want wisdom, understanding and a good day…you better start it with some lone, non-squirrel time with the Lord! In that lone time, be ready to hear from God too. It’s not just a one-way conversation from you to Him. He will speak back to you, to show you, lead you, reveal something to you. You may not like that revelation either, so be prepared. It may be your stubbornness, impatience levels, anger, hidden dishonesty etc. God is not tormenting or rejecting us in these revelations, rather He’s trying to let us know what parts are still broken and need repair.   And…hold on…it gets tougher…sometimes He has to ge
